^^ Yes! xDD I hadn't realized it til now, but you're right. There is a surprizingly small amount of actual male Kid Flash cosplayers.

There's a surpisingly small amount of actual male cosplayers in GENERAL. xD

I've only seen one other who attended Fanimecon with who I believe was his boyfriend. xD
Same with a Roy Harper.

Haha! Yeah, some of the best cosplayers I know are either gay males, or girls who are (enviously) androgynous. Funny how it works that way. Perhaps because they tend to be more open to dressing up in a way that many find 'socially awkward' (So I've been told surprisingly often!)

Of course, the males are always generously outnumbered.

I have a female friend I was in Cosplay Club with in high school that does a FANTASTIC Robin and Kid Flash of the recent Young Justice variety. Poor girl straps her boobs down flat. (I think I'd die) I myself am way too curvy to pass as anything but! I'm always jelly of your wife xD Sniper makes a wonderfully androgynous Cosplayer <3

I'm actually a straight male, myself.
There are very few of us who actually put the effort in that any Hobby truly deserves.

xD Shame? I lost that years ago.
My wife crossplays as alot of male characters. xD She does the same thing. But, she's never worried about her curvy hips showing off when she crossplays.
There are actually alot of male characters (especially in anime) who have a rather fem build.

Well, it's not like you can make a living going to cons and cosplaying, and if you somehow manage it, it's very difficult. Finding the time and funding for true cosplay is hard!

Well, she's also luckily slender. As a bigger girl, I have fewer choices as far as male characters go. Chibi characters actually usually turn out best ^^' Or 'busty' characters such as classic Tsunade. It sucks when you get weird stares even from the otaku community!

xD She may be slender, but she's got a nice hourgless figure. :3
But, I've seen lots of 'bigger' girls who crossplay. ^^ It's all about the effort one puts in.
Besides, there are lots of binding techniques to hide ones hips and breasts, or even out a curve. You just need to know where to look or who to ask.
xD I may be a guy, but I'm quite heavier in build. I have very wide-set bones on a very short frame, but I still cosplay as alot of tall, slender character. :3
It's not really so much about size and shape as it is about having fun and working hard to make yourself look the best you can. ^^
Besides, there are lots of 'slimming' products on the market that can help in crossplaying for woman.
Shape forming undergarments work well for hips if you get a size smaller than suggested for your messuerments. Ace bandage over a tight muscle compression shirt works really well for breast tacking, I've heard. So does ducktape.
