They are kind of vegetable and egg pies. Never really ate one though, lol. Just saw pictures and felt like making a few of those.

aren't you living in a francophone part of canada? and you never ate quiches???
i love "quiche lorraine" best of all, it's with onions and cheese...the lower one resembles it the most.
your cheese texture looks very realistic!

Yeah I live in the Province of Quebec, but since I've got particular tastes and issues with food, never tried it, lol.
