Description
This is the OC I made for fun, Mari Kaede, or Kaede as that is her first name. She is Orochimaru's love interest and probably will not get her own story, unless a majority of the people who look at this want that and will actually read it. If she did get her own story, it would be in a universe where my other OCs don't exist, since she is not part of their ranks.
Again, unless a majority of you want her to be.

Friends: Doesn't have any.
Love Interest: Orochimaru.
Alliance: The Sound Village.

Fears: Of being confined again, confined spaces, bursting into flames.
Dreams: To be free and happy.

Personality and Appearance
Kaede's appearance consists of spiked up flame orange hair with yellow-ish highlights and red-ish shading, her eyes are a chocolate brown and have the same ring design as Kurenai. Her clothes consist of a skintight, black, flame proof battle suit as underclothes and an easily removed purple/red robe over it with the purple rope tied around her arm, showing her village and who she worked for. She wears the same type of shoes as Jiraiya, the tall ones balancing on two flat walls and tends to click when she walks because of them.

Her facial appearance is dirty cheeks, which are permanently like that due to strong fire constantly overtaking her body, and a fang she gained during one of the various experiments she had to suffer with.

Her appearance is mainly warm colours and her outward appearance was made to match it.

The firecracker's personality is a hard one to understand, outside she is carefree, laidback and without a care, she is rather rude and cheeky and tends to flash a grin and show off her fang, she rarely takes anything seriously, and likes to tease and torment the one person she probably shouldn't, Orochimaru.

However this isn't all, despite being outwardly flamboyant and casual, she is not that way when thinking, in her mind, she thinks with calm and serious calculation, something that would possibly frighten her enemies if she ever showed it. This is mainly seen when she spends her free time plotting ways to kill Orochimaru, before she fell for him.

During her captivity in Orochimaru's lab, her more serious personality shines, when I say she's rarely serious, I meant she's only serious in severe situations, like during her experiments, until so many years in, and during fights that could mean life or death. She might be a laidback woman, but she's old enough to know when being serious is a good thing.

Kaede doesn't have any friends, she herself could gain them easily due to her outward personality, but chooses not to, having decided long ago that she had been changed too much to have any and that she was too old to worry about such things, despite only being in her forties.

She is also uncomfortable in water, she washes herself effectively and quickly because her fiery form cannot stand the liquid for too long, she doesn't need to drink water either, she needs anything that has as little water as possible, like cola or cold dairy drinks.

Her body temperature is also a little higher than normal people's, since her body was experimented on that many times she began to take on some of the traits of fire.

Weapons and Skills
Kaede is a natural born Fire Style user, she has both the Fire and Wind Elements, which help greatly with her ninjutsu, as she uses the wind to strengthen the fire. She is also an average genjutsu user and has below average skills in Taijutsu, only resorting to it when she has no other choice.

When angered, her skin will slowly begin to glow, then spark, and finally, when she snaps, she will burst into flames, only having a small amount of time to remove her robe and shoes beforehand. When this happens she cannot be touched, and becomes rather weak to water, which can both quell her anger and harm her in the process, as her body goes from hot to cold in an instant.

She doesn't carry weapons, aside from the traditional kunais and shurikens, she can't fight effectively with them, but will use them if it is the only way she can survive.

Weaknesses
Kaede's main weakness is her body bursting into flames, not only can water actually hurt her, but so can the fire, it burns her skin to a level near the damage Naruto gets from the Kyuubi at four tails. She can risk severe infection and pain and can even die if not treated quickly enough.

Her other weakness is her lack of taijutsu skills, as it means if she has to resort to them, there is a strong chance she will die at the hands of an enemy.

Another weakness is her wind nature, if she were to use wind style jutsu when on fire, she risks making her own body engulf further and cause more damage, that may even end up killing her from the sheer agony.

Backstory
Kaede was a normal girl from Sunagakure, she was used to sheer levels of heat and had both fire and wind based chakra, she was one of the best at Ninjutsu in her class and was even praised by some of the higher ups for her skill. She was the best with her fire style ninjutsu however and would always be excelling in that area mainly.

When she graduated, she was placed under a Jounin with a strong Wind Based Chakra and he could see that she had the capacity for wind based ninuutsu too, so after the graduation and becoming a Genin with to others who formed their team. She became a Chunnin aged twenty and a jounin five years later.

During her time as a Jounin, she met a wonderful man who she loved unconditionally and ended up married at thirty, happy and content with her life. However abut three years into her marriage, she and her husband had a disagreement and separated both of them regretting their decision, but too stubborn to forgive the other.

Two years later, she bumped into a man with snake-like eyes and apologized, before continuing towards the place to begin her mission, unaware that he had felt his instincts flare and he knew his instincts were never wrong, so he began to tail her and inspect her skills.

During the mission they fought some well balanced opponents who were rather powerful and Orochimaru's eyes widened with delight when she showed him what her fire style jutsu were like. He planned his next move and decided to return in so many years, when her skills were far more advanced.

It was several months after Kaede's 38th birthday that she was attacked and taken from her villa, having given her a sedative the moment they landed to stop her from fighting them. She awoke later on a table and saw the man she had bumped into, he was grinning sadistically before fueling her with more sadatives, beginning her ten years of expermimentation before she was allowed to work with him.

And during all that time she spent in a glass box with only a toilet, shower and bed, she knew for a fact that her ex-husband was killed, because both Kabuto and Orochimaru told her, this did nothing but fuel her hatred.
