In this time Line then Louds have become super poor. All there cloths, furniture, toys, technology is just whatever they get donated threw charity so they have no choice in how they dress or what they own. They have no car. They can't go to college, they have to work multiple jobs, Most of them are street performers for tips , all of the kids share one bed in one bed room and share each others clothing and they have to cut corners, share, reuse, recycle or hand make lots of other things.

Leni can't afford fabric so when she makes things she uses bed sheets, pillow cases and table cloths otherwise her life is unchanged just she can't have high fassion or go shopping she has to stay Froogle.
