Star got rid of the magic etc... 3 years passed and Star became a super hero, fighting in modified street cloths and things you can buy "Off the rack"

a months in, Jackie joins brining with her a high tech fireroof suit that can decrees fall damage and go in space.

with in a few months after Jackie joins and by the start of Year 2 in time for Metior's join up, Star, Marco and Mariposa have full body armor. they fly, they have retractable wings, retractile spare arms, storage for the favorite weapons, fire proof, bullet proof, impact proof can go in space, doesn't do well under water. has computer technology and all kids of scanning. and the gloves can give of technological blasts of energy equally as powerful as any of Star's spells and can even take on limited energy construct ability to resemble her old spells slightly. She also has a lot of other energy based defenses and traps tat also mimic spells the suits also carry explosives and are basically a "Get out of any situation" tool.

Star has found a way to use computers, energy, holograms and other star wars / star trek / Marvel. DC comic Sci-Fi tech to replace most of her spells and Mariposa , Marco, Jackie and Metiora all have the same tech.

Star begins to take back the city and make things safe but its a long uphill struggle that will take her over a decade. and in that time the suit will see more upgrades like healing and full on Green Lantern style constructs.

The generation that grows up after Star has children will be able to have a wider range of powers not magic yet but so varied and interesting it'll be almost exactly like magic again.

and at some point Star will bring magic back in full it just won't be the same magic she erased. it'll be a power barrowed from other sources.
