Description Yay my first political cartoon

So basically I don't like either Republican or Democratic Parties in the US and I think the party system is a joke thats preventing anything from getting done.
In the cartoon I wanted to show the American big bullies bustin up a Tea Party...which is literally a tea party in this case, specifically the one from Alice in Wonderland Lol

done in prismacolor pencils

This made me smile. I don't believe there should be a two party system either. The founding fathers hated the thought of political parties as well. Well done!

A very good political cartoon. Clear message in a good, slightly humorous, package. We need to step away from a just two party system. The current two party system actually has no provision for a popular third party in a presidential race. The electoral college isn't a simple most votes wins but a system in which you need to achieve 270 votes out of 538. If a third party can garner as much popular support as either of the two parties no one wins under the current law. In the end it discourages people from running or voting third party.

Thank you so much I appreciate the input, and I very much agree its an extremely broken system that discourages any change or progress.

While our first president was against the party system (and if it could have been kept out, I think I would agree with it more), human beings tend to group themselves. Sadly, it's just the way of things. I understand the frustration (believe me I do... These politicians need to care more about the nation and less about lining their own pockets), but my personal opinion is that one should choose the group that is most closely associated with their values. Then comes the most important step: keep the politicians accountable. If we don't do that, then it really doesn't matter which side their on, because they're all on their own side.

Your art style is adorable. I love your work with the prisma pencels. Great job!

BTW, the symbol of Texas on the elephant... since you're not a fan of either party, what are you saying about Texas with that?

Thanks for your opinion I appreciate your thoughts on my piece

The only reason I have a problem with the party system is that people usually choose to blindly pick the party they've always gone with without considering the actual person. And I do not mind Republican and Democrate I just think they have become so powerful that no other ideas or groups can be in the running with them...hence the Tea Party being run over by them.

Lol I was just going by symbols of the last two candidates from the parties...obama easily has his own symbol so I thought texas would be recognizable as Bush. And instead of Big brother thats little sister haha

That's true, but that's when it comes to keeping people accountable. It's looking more hopeful for November, but even those that *look* good at first glance have to be watched carefully so they don't fall into the typical flow of DC.

Ah... It was early when I looked, so I didn't even see the Obama symbol (just so used to seeing it everywhere nowadays, it blends in).

I honestly thought the girl was Alice... being that you have the March Hare and the DoorMouse.
