Something felt wrong in Champion City. No one could tell exactly what it was, but there was an uneasy feeling that settled over the city. A sense of danger, like it was unsafe. No one could have known yet that the protector of the city, Midnight Mask, had lost. That things really aren't safe. Many just weren't aware. Many, like Chloe Valentine.

Chloe Valentine is in her room trying on her new ring gear. The Selfie Queen looks at herself in the mirror to snap a series of selfies. Taking a good selfie is really an art. Getting the right angle, lighting, picking the right filter. There's a lot of little things people don't realize go into a good selfie. She was looking over the pics she just took to try and figure out which was the best one when the lights flickered. She looked up for a second. Was a light bulb about to burn out or something? Nothing else happened, so she just went back to what she was doing.

Then the lights flickered again, and then turned off completely.

The only source of light was her phone. She groaned and went to check the breaker. With how dark it was, Chloe almost walked right into her mirror though. She was startled by it. Being startled your own reflection seemed silly, but she thought the mirror was somewhere else in the room. In the darkness of her room, only the glow of her phone giving any light, something seemed off about her reflection. She stared at it, and scrutinized it. It looked exactly like her, but it didn't feel like her.

And then her reflection smiled at her.

The lights flicked back on, and Chloe saw her "reflection" in the light. But it wasn't actually her reflection at all. It was a copy of Chloe standing right before her. Before Chloe could even react, her copy threw her ass right at Chloe's face. A flying peach attack! Chloe didn't have time to dodge out of the way and got knocked back. Her copy approached her, and Chloe readied herself to fight back. Chloe was befuddled though by how the person before her was able to copy her every move. Every punch, kick, and move she could pull out. Her copy did everything she did. Only her copy did it better.

Chloe would be quick to wrap her arms around the other Chloe in a bearhug! She hoped that maybe immobilizing the other woman would put a stop to this fight.

"Who are you?" Chloe asked, but her double only laughed in response.

The duplicate wrapped her arms around Chloe too and bearhugged her as well. But her bearhug was much... much tighter.

"AHHHHHH!" Chloe shouted out as her copy tried to crush her with the bearhug.

The bearhug her copy was putting her through was spine bending, and Chloe felt like her copy was going to break her in two. Before the hold could become agonizing though, Chloe felt herself get lifted off the ground and thrown forwards as her copy did a devastating belly to belly suplex! Her face slammed against the floor. Chloe groaned on the floor. All of the moves the copy had used so far were all so brutally strong that Chloe needed a moment to get back up. But before she could, her copy grabbed Chloe by her hair and threw Chloe onto her back. Chloe yelped from the sudden pain, but she wouldn't have to worry about that for long.

Chloe's doppelgänger would wrap her legs around Chloe's waist, and put her into a dragon sleeperhold. Chloe immediately recognized this move as her own finisher, Hugging It Out. The sleeperhold was as tight as it could be. Chloe kicked her legs and struggled as much as she could, but the chokehold was making her weaker and weaker. Her struggles were desperate, but were progressively getting slower. A blush was on her face, and her mouth was agape. Black spots were filling her vision as her vision became unfocused and her eyes started to roll back into her head. Her copy spoke, and her voice sounded exactly like hers.

"Whaddya say Chloe? Selfie?" The other Chloe laughed.

By then Chloe's struggles stopped completely. And her eyes fluttered closed. Chloe was unconscious, which her double knew without even having to check. Her double laughed once more. With Chloe KO'd, her copy could do whatever she wanted to her, and her mirror had plans~

"Mirrors are kind."
