As I fall from grace on these tattered wingsI find myself among useless things
No more than a shell of what used to be
O lord why have you forsaken me
The past still lingers in my mind
Reminding me of another time
When I was brighter and stood true
Now all thats gone thanks to you
The words you spoke to pierce my soul
The lies you told to aid your goal
Did you ever think about what they did
To sweet little me the child that hid
I cannot reclaim my broken past
Now that it all lies in ash
Ive given up my fight tonight
Although I tried with all my might
To keep believing theres a way
To live to see another day
I'm tired now my fight is through
I'm truly sorry that I hurt you
As I say my final goodbye
