Description I have re-fallen in love with Sherlock.
So, much art to come, now that I still have to wait AGES for it to come to America, while BBC has it 1 January! D=
Charcoal, a few days.

Good Lord, what is it about you and this man's lips. You're doing very well at them. I do love how he has the effect, with those eyes of his, that you sometimes see on pale-eyed Huskies. It makes him so striking with dark hair! So handsome!

You say you only know how to do charcoal, but I imagine you'd do extremely well with a good set of Conte Crayons (pastel pencils) or watercolour pencils. Also, you might like chalk pastels, you can get them in pencil sticks. You could drop some pale green in those galactic eyes of his.

I used to use pastel pencils a bit, to colour in one thing, as my gallery shows every once in a while. I never thought of colouring his eyes, though! It'd be crazy!
I have never used chalk pastels either, but I may give them a go, because I never had the opportunity to just try them. I've seen them do BEAUTIFUL things.

Oh, I think you could do wonders with them, to be honest. Chalk pastel is so forgiving and it can make such delicious textures given different paper. I find the colours vibrant. And you can paint them with something as simple as water. Very cost effective. So you can chalk them up, and paint the drawing. Flexible!

Sounds fun! And now that my work is cutting hours terribly I have some free time. I'll see how they work, because I really do like my pastel pencils.

It's important if you're buying real media (like in an art store) to get them out and touch them to see how soft they are, and if colour comes away easily! The problem I used to have with pencils is the pressure I'd have to use for so little reward in terms of coverage on the page. I like pastel sticks best for that reason, but I also recently got a few sets of Derwent watercolour pencils and they are just amazing. I'm sorry about your cut hours! I hope it's a temporary thing! But I also hope you turn it into a silk purse by drawing lots! I know I would.

And, good thing about being an employee, I can actually touch stuff and open things without buying them!
Hours should be fine eventually, but it does give me more time for college...

Oh! You work in an art store then? My uncle had an art shop too. I loved being over there with the supplies. I'm done Uni and full-time in the workplace. That's where I found out the hours are insane. That's what it is to work in America though. There are no real provisions for to keep the worker from falling on their face from having worked too much. I wonder if acting can be like that for Benedict. Like "Fell asleep on Star Trek script again last night"....

I work in a discount craft store. Most of the stuff is meh but the art section is actually really incredible. Thank goodness for that!

And I have not done full-time work AND school, but the 16-ish work hours and the 18 credit hours school I have now are enough, thanks. I doubt I could handle more!

Oh, it's mental, that schedule, Haunted! I imagine it will be a good thing if you get some reduced hours at work.

Yup, I am enjoying the 15-hour work week. Until I see my paycheck, that is...

Paycheques always work that way, I'm afraid. This world gives you money or time. Often it's money or personal fulfillment, sadly, so you have to pick and choose. How depressing!
