yeah but i wish i could fix it because i know photoshop isnt supposed to behave that way. after i used the smudge tool i had to wait 15 minutes for it to load in.

well, 2 problems could be wrong with that:

1) you're Computer is running too many programs that uses too much of it resources.(like virtual gas) if you look at you computer now. do you see a flashing light next to your power light? if it is, you're computer is PAGING to the hard drive. making it run SSSSSLLLLLLLOOOOOOWWWWWWW. your RAM is suppose to take care of that. when you run out of RAM space, the CPU send the information to the Hard drive. writing and deleting temp files. the FIX: More RAM and use less programs running in the background.

2) you're Computer has a Bug in it. maybe so bad that you may need a system reset. (believe me I just spent 2 days at my in laws doing just that.) don't do number 2 if you don't know what you're doing. if you do Save everything, including the drivers for your NIC card(the internet jack) with out that you can't down load the rest of the drivers.

well there is a possibility ot may be the ram. becausr oit does it off and on even when nothing else is open. then there is rimes its completley perfect. it kinda chooses when to be laze. i wanna mae option 2 my very last option because i have no backup storage for it all.

WoW. okay here is what you can do. you see you clock in the lower right side of the screen? the Icons next to it are programs running in the background. the ones that are active are ones you can see before clicking the arrow. they are not running in the background.

when you click the arrow. the arrow slide to the left, showing the ones running in the BG. you can turn those off by right clicking and selecting "EXIT" they will go away until you start you computer again. some way have "Settings" so that they will not start when you load you computer. just turn it off. some will not have that option.

Internet browsers like FireFox, Opera, Internet Explorer use about 500,000 to 900,000 KB of resources each. PS7 only uses 60,000 to 90,000 KB... so I know its not PS7 killing your Hard Drive.

i didnt think it was ps7 either. those programs were running? i always assumed it was there as shortcuts for my downloaded programs

nahh. if you hold down Ctrl, Alt Delete. and let go. a window will pop up. click the tab called "Processes" it will show you how many programs are running right now.

the ones you can stop are the ones hiding behind the arrow in the lower right corner.
