Sarjiri looks mad....and hot.
This was my first serious pic I attempted with painter. During the process of making it I really started to like the program more and more and want to continue using it. Which is probably because I feel so bored in photoshop since I am not learning anything new in it. Not to say that I know a lot about photoshop but I am just not showing much progress in it anymore. So if you critique please go lighter on your critique.
I was sick today and Vdisko actually requested that I finish this picture. So I didn’t wanna disappoint him so I worked on it with my sick day. This doesn’t mean I can color more often or anything especially since the sick day from school will cost me a lot later on.

i really love how much is going on in this picture- its really epic, but not too much. And the contrast of the rain and fire is just fantastic, you did a really great job, and the colours are amazing

Looks good. Nice face. Concerns are that if she is in fact wielding fire, then wouldn't those be the light sources? Then theres the fact thats its storming, so no sun as a light source. What I'm trying to say is make the light sources a lot more intense. I think it would totally raise her intimidation factor. OR you could put some lightning in the background.

True, I had a whole lot of issues deciding on my light source first the background started off being no where near as dark as I made it on the final and the fire was a last minute addition. I intended her to have an element in her hand but I colored the fire last so the majority of her body wasn't colored with the fire of the lighting in mind.
Glad you noticed it I won't make such simple mistakes like that again.

if i could find anything that i think you could work on id tell you. thing is i usually dont see anything like that very often in your work. everything seems to fit perfectly

yeah, i'm fooling around with painter too. it just feels alot more natural. Like, you don't have to use five different tools to make an effect like you would have to do in photoshop. I'm glad you're moving onto painter, the photoshopping was getting cheap.
