Traize is rather well versed in hand to hand combat. He is very agile and likes to use a quick barrage of punches and kicks to throw his opponents off their feet. He’s also adapt in using knives when needed to.

Lighting Magecraft: Uses lightning element to increase damage of his punches and kicks, and occasionally with his knives. Will cause paralysis or numbness to the receiver it he continuously hits them for a long time. He rarely uses this magecraft at continuously full power because the electricity will rebound back at him and damage him. Because of prolonged handling of this magecraft, Traize developed enhanced immunity to spells that have alignments with lightning.

update manipulation of lighting orihalculm: By charging up the molecules in a bar of lighting typed orihalculm he carries around, he can transport and change it's form. This makes him able to manifest it on his arms to form a pair of gauntlets with claws that can also act as a catalyst for his lighting magic.
== Elemental Unison: Traize can also temporarily fuse the charged up orihalcum molecules with his body making his whole form a catalyst for channeling his lighting magic thus making him even more durable against lighting based spells and the ability to use lighting attacks without needing to charge it first. In this form, his skin becomes tougher and turns into an ebony color due to the metal molecules in him. He can not maintain this state for a long period of time since the charged up orihalcum molecules would slowly lose the energy needed to stay separate, if the limit is up, the orihalcum molecules would clump back together into a solid inside of him and get stuck in his arteries, making them burst and endangering his life.

Reinforcement Magecraft: A type of support magic that uses the users mana to reinforce or increase durability of items, in Traize case, his limbs.(reinforce his limb bones to be tougher so they don’t break easily or reinforce his skin but that's about it for now) Will cause internal damage to his body if he uses overuses the magecraft on his body due to the unnatural nature of the spell.

Weapon:
a pair of gauntlets made from the horn an adult lightning serpent. Acts as a catalyst to better control his lightning magecraft, he is able to store them in a pendent for making his travel load lighter and summon them for equipping during battle, though this auto equip can only happen if he already has metal bands around his arms to act as the gauntlets' place holder.

Personality:
An outgoing and quick to laugh kind of person. He enjoys being with people in a social environment and gets amused quite easily.

Has a laid-back personality, but he will often get hot headed and serious when the time calls for it. Traize doesn’t have a grudge against other fractions in particular, but he will not refrain from beating up other people when fighting them.

He is apparently more perceptive than his brawler status suggests, being able to plan and relay pieces of information quite fast.

Even though he likes having constant brawls with others, he is a fiercely loyal and protective friend.

Can be a show-off and egoistic person at times.

History:
Traize was born as the second and also youngest son of the Metzen family, a mage family known for raising mages who were naturally capable of mastering all 5 of the basic magic elementals: fire, water, earth, air and lighting. So his father and other mages who had alliance with the family had high expectations for his brother and him, teaching them the ways of magecraft from a young age.

But like most mages, he’s father chose only one son to carry on his family's tradition as he believed raising an additional child would introduce competition. Traize was the one who was gave up on by his father because he didn’t seem to have the capability of learning the other elements in the field other than lightning. He got sent to live with his uncle who was staying nearby. Feeling rejected, Traize spent his days in his uncle’s workshop learning other spells that might impress his father.

His uncle taught him other ways to incorporate magic with his talents. Traize chose to incorporate it with martial arts. Years of research and practice, made Traize into a battle mage, but he still felt that it wasn’t enough to impress his father more than his elder brother. When he was 18, the two imprisoned factions were released and the war started again.
Under the advice of his uncle, Traize joined the Earthra army. He thinks that the battlefield would be a good place to prove to other mages that his skills were not useless and inferior and worth his father’s acknowledgement, and serving his fraction would be good goal in his current life. Since the release of the other faction gave way to new territory in Zion, Traize decided to explore the world and see the other territories with his own eyes rather than just reading about them from books in his uncle’s workshop. Currently travels all over Zion as a relic and treasure collector, and learning new spells and magecrafts at the same time.

Time in the war was rather good training for Traize, it upgraded his magic and skills quite a lot. Though as much as he wanted to put all his effort in the war, The Mage Association, an organization where the Metzen's were one of the leading members had been acting up. Observation after observation, corruptions, homonculus conjuring, undocumented mage killings, it was evident that something was up with the high powers governing the organization. While Traize was already used to having assassins sent to his family from some of the other members for just being in the family that played a key part in the organization, the fact that they sent assassins to Mavis and the other members of the Aran Tribe and tried to use them for advantage, made him wage his own personal war against the shadows of the organization.

-Finding and collecting treasure (exp.: relics, monster drops, knowledge or anything that can be considered treasure)
-Exploring and adventures
-Sparring/ brawls

Dislikes:
-Anyone who claims to be stronger than he/she really is.
-Water transportation (ships, boats of any kind)

Trivia:
-His family is packed rich, which is quite normal considering being a line of talented mages through out the ages and being involved in the black markets in all fractions earned them quite a lot of money
-Has an obsession with finding and collecting things. Once he got an eye on something it’s really hard to make him lose interest in it.
-Suffers from a slight inferiority complex because of his upbringing, but he hides it really well.
-Has motion sickness on water transportation. (explanation for the dislike of water transport)
-He maybe a brawler, but he still is a mage. He’s not a just simple minded person who uses his fist to do the talking.
