In original comic series and TV series at 60's, Astro's pants is not only painted on his body, but he wears pants on his body.
But in TV series at 80's, it looks parts of his body.

Yes, I read that book. Uran tries to stop Pluto -who has already destroyed the other 6 of the mightiest robots of all. She is almost killed !
