Oh gosh that cosplay looks fantastic! Great location, too! I'd kill to be able to cosplay the Doc (in level 50 Epic, of course, because I have to make things just that much more difficult for myself) but I'd die of heat stroke trying to wear it in Singapore anyway. Fully covered in a country that reaches 30 degrees Celcius in the shade? Death wish!

OH MY. 30 degrees? Well, that's about the temperature in the shade here too, but only during the summer. If these Templars were real people (especially the doctor, prowler and other fully covered guys) THEY WOULD ALL BE DEAD OF HEAT in 30 minutes (summer or not). This was taken during a rather cold late winter day and I was still sweating like crazy.
Shame about your cosplay.. I'd love to see how it looks like if you ever change your mind and make that elite gear

Yeeep, 30 degrees, and we don't have seasons here so it's always that way. The only "seasons" we do have are wet and dry, neither of which is better than the other. One gets your roasted to death and the other gets you humidified (and drenched) to death.
I'm giving serious thought to the cosplay, but after weaseling a Clopin costume out of my mother last year (she paid for it to be tailored since I'm a durp-face with a needle) I think this one might be a little more difficult despite the changes I'd make. The coat wouldn't be leather/wax-covered for a start, I'd make it cloth just so I don't die so fast ... and that'd probably be the easy part. Not sure where in the heck I'm going to find the hat, belt, and gloves ... or that ... gugel thing around the neck.

do you think the cosplay contests would call something like me taking an old piece of clothing and heavily modifying it as something I made/crafted and all other things i made such as the hat, mask, and modified accessories and would it be allowed in the competition and what skill level can I enter it as? I am fairly new to Cosplay...

Of course! The costume can be made out of anything! It doesn't matter if it is a modified piece of clothing or made from a scratch.
I am not really familiar with any competitions, so I can't help you with that, actually.
