Description OHAY GUYS, YOU KNOW ABOUT THE PEN TOOL!? You know, that tool that a large population of newbie Photoshoppers seem to have nightmares over!? The one whose twin tweaking thingamajigs that pop up when you click an anchor point make you want to slit your wrists and gouge your eyes out!? Well, for the first time ever, I successfully utilized that baby, and, boy, was it a doozy! Two days. Two days spent adding, deleting, and tweaking anchor points on that crazy mannequin. Thank God for video tutorials like this , or I would've given up on what is supposedly the perfect tool for this sort of thing altogether. Oh, Alt key, I love you!

So here we have Subaru and Hokuto Sumeragi from "Tokyo Babylon," a manga series that I'm not particularly fond of, yet the art and OVAs seriously rock hard in my opinion. This piece is based off one of my favorite drawings from the "Tokyo Babylon Photographs" art book. I had a lot of fun working on this, as it was done simply for pleasure, which is such a refreshing break from commercial, work-related art.

I miss you too! If you were closer, I'd say let's hang out tonight! Hehe... But I guess we can do art together in spirit. ^o^ ...right after I dump my clothes in the laundry. Hehe.

Next time I'm in the area, you'll know.

And let's do! I'd actually like to participate in those draw offs with you and the Bordenave-man. So looking forward to you updating your journal on what the new one will be, if any

Putting the power in my hands, eh? Alright, then the next Draw Off should be anything Gainax. Go post it up on your journal, since that's where everyone looks to for these things. Dunno if they'd pay any attention if I announced it on mine.

I pretty much just went and did it. I suck when it comes to inking big circles and ovals, so when I saw the mannequin, I knew I either had to bite the bullet and ink it, or use the pen tool like most of the pros do. Obviously, I chose the latter, and it took a hell of a lot of patience and dedication on my part to get the job done. For help, I turned to the video tutorial I listed in the above comments.

Thanks for the comment and the fave!
