Description
i had seen it done so many times,
and in each eye that has seen it
and done it is a communion;

of flesh and of blood, of all
worldly and unworldly things,
and ringing bells could bring
us in to spill it all, like a savior.

had he not too succumbed to it?
with nails splitting skin, metal
spiked within each palm, driven
together with force, and purpose.

there is a crimson tide which flows
within each tangled vein. bone and
brain make up this human shell- there
are those of us who would release it...

and know what it means.
