Well, I'm not sure if it'll sound funny in English, it's kinda it's more understandable in the Arabian cultures as it's related to the traditional way of marriage,
But to clear it out:
1. Guy came to ask for the daughter's hand. Father says we'll talk to her and ask for her opinion.
2. Mom: Why don't you wanna marry him!? -- Girl cries.
3. Girl: He's ugly! his ears are big! @@ << (and you know "she looks beautiful")
