Description (Color version here .)

Here he is, the man who changed my view on moustaches forever... Freddie Mercury.

It actually wasn't supposed to turn out like this. I just wanted to do a quick little something to test out them charcoals and smudging stubs I got from the store, so I grabbed my DVD and started to sketch it out. I guess I started going too far with it to leave it as "quick," though. I was afraid of using the charcoals on this so I stuck with pencil. The smudging was fuuuun (especially when doing his hairiness), but frustrating. I thought about the background for days and days and days until I suddenly got the idea to use Freddie's arrow tanktop. It went well with the pose and energy, and I could've cried when I was finally able to go forward with the picture.

The pose was taken from the cover of Queen Rock Montreal, WHICH I SAW IN THE MOVIE THEATER LAST NIGHT. "One Night Only." It was such a pleasant surprise -- I found out the day of the showing and was actually able to go. It was in a city about ten minutes away from ours, hooray, so my mom, my sister, and I hopped in the car and drove to the closest thing we'd ever get to a real Queen concert. I even had semi-post-concert depression after getting home!

I was devastated when i first learned that Freddie Mercury passed away years ago. I'm a fan of Queen. Nobody produced the same quality of songs such as they.

Both filmed probably within a year, but the 'stache makes it look like about 5 years.

Oh yeah. VH1 Classic was playing highlights of the Live Aid concert just yesterday, and they showed Queen's Radio Ga Ga performance. His energy was amazing. It's like, if you're in the audience, you can't help but dance "with" him.

Freddie = one in a million.

D: You're so lucky. Wish they did things like that in Australia.
The pic looks awesome, his body looks nearly perfect! Nice work.

It was kind of weird, because I guess they didn't advertise it at all. But who knows, maybe they'll do the same thing in other countries at a later date. (I believe they played shows in Britain as well.)

Thank you so much!
