Hello.
I love the fur texture. It looks soft and I really wanna pet it! Haha.
The eyes are very nice. The shape of the panda's head is neat as well as the rest of it.
Anatomy of the head and the face itself is close to perfection. The shading is good. Is the light coming from above, left, right, or bottom?
I like the nose, too. Very cute.
The left ear needs a little touch-up. The right ear is fine. The left needs the shine the right ear has.
Keep up the good work. I hope your son likes the panda because I do!

I had a bit of trouble with the dark parts of the bear and had to take it back and forth from my cintiq to the HD screen. I pulled out my little Bamboo to help
As far as the lights. I was thinking dual lighta from both top corners, the left being a little more diffused than the right.
Ya, I agree now looking at the ears. I did the left first then the right, so I guess it was part of my learning process on how to deal with the lighting.
