Description
I had this short phase a few years ago when I was drawing SWAT animals, mostly dogs and hamsters. I wanted to draw them again because I think they really look awesome. Plus they get bonus points for wearing such cool waistcoats
The sketch for this was done on New Year and colored in February with watercolors. The picture is rather big (12"x18"/30,5x45,5cm) and it took a while to finish. I'm really happy with the background color, I didn't want another blue picture like my Wolf portrait so I'm glad I found a more brownish alternative. It was also the first time I used masking fluid and it actually went pretty well. My favorite part are the goggles. And the rifle turned out better than I expected especially considering it was my first time coloring something like that. I wish I switched the dog breeds though, I think a darker rottweiler on the left and a more brownish german shepherd on the right would've made the transition from the darker part of the picture towards the lighter part better. Well, nothing I can do about it now.

The colors did not want to scan well, blame my scanner.

Specijalci

Prije par godina sam bila u fazi crtanja životinja specijalaca, većinom pasa i hrčaka. Htjela sam ih opet nacrtati jer mi stvarno prezakon izgledaju (a i imaju prsluke, a ja obožavam prsluke). Skicu sam nacrtala na Novu godinu, a obojala negdje pred kraj veljače. Dosta je velika (30,5x45,5cm) pa mi je trebalo neko vrijeme da ju obojam. Stvarno mi se sviđa boja pozadine jer zaista nisam htjela još jednu plavu sliku kao što je Obiteljski portret. Ovo je također bilo prvi put da sam upotrijebila maskirnu tekućinu i zapravo je poprilično dobro prošlo. Najdraži dio slike su mi definitivno naočale. A i puška je ispala bolje nego što sam očekivala, osobito s obzirom da mi je to bilo prvi put da sam takvo nešto bojala. Ipak, mislim da bi bolje bilo da sam zamijenila pasmine, prijelaz iz tamnijeg dijela pozadine u svijetliji bi bolje išao kad bi crni rotvajler bio na lijevo i žućkastiji vučjak na desno. Al' šta se može.
