We have the same goal. So far, I start over every time.
Good lines. I rarely clean anything up to this level.

Of course I dig the idea if I can manage to draw something worthy of your colors. But seriously, if I post something you like, let me know and I'll hook you up with a larger, cleaner file. How're things going with you, by the way?

Hoorah! You posted one of em'!
Bout time you had an update.
You know I dig the drawing and her spiffy outfit and accessories. Love those badass details!
Advanced Critique eh...
Not much I can say. She's look more natural if her hanging arm weren't so straight, maybe doing something a little more casual and comfy... hand/thumb in pocket, maybe? Hand on hip? Rubbing her sweet, sweet femme-butt, fantasizing that it's Kebikun?
Besides that arm... um, well presentation is kinda important. Really important for portfolio pieces. Not sure adding that bottom line to the legs really helps the drawing out. Personally, I'd rather see the line's just kind of end, indicating that you just didn't want to go further with it, or cut the bottom of the legs off at the end of the page.
Well, that's my take. Anyway, awesome job!

Yea, I struggled with the arm and hand. It personally doesn't bother me much, but I'm sure it will later down the line. As for the cut off lines, I'll try it without em'. I suppose she does look sort of like an amputee now that I look at it.

As usual it looks good. Nice modeling on the accessories in particular. The back hand looks a bit akward facing out like it is, but it does give a sort of body language of "What?" as if you were starring at her.
Hope to see more soon man.

Yea, I struggled to get a hand that I was comfortable with and that didn't look too weird. I probably jumped into details too early in the game again which may explain the awkwardness. Oh well, time to move on.

Kebikun In reply to DeathPath [2007-06-15 05:27:45 +0000 UTC]
Yea, we all need more practice. The key to drawing girls, I suppose, is to stay away from sharp angles. Compared to guys, I like to draw girls' eyes larger, their lips fuller, their noses smaller and less distinct, and their faces rounder. Actually, I just stay away from too many details in general, which is why I tend to think guys are easier to draw. Good luck.

It just bugs me when I feel I'm not placing muscles in the right places, I need to practice more.

Kebikun In reply to AndrewDickman [2007-06-15 05:25:13 +0000 UTC]
Well, that's just it. All any of us can do to improve is practice; there's no shortcut. What I do, personally, is steal your pose books and just draw poses straight out of the book for practice while using a normal anatomy book (the ones that label the different parts) to cross reference stuff. It's only occasionally successful and I tend to retain very little, but it's better than nothing. Give it a try once I return your stuff.
