Media: Wacom and Photoshop 6The three female leads of Kamau:QFTS. Their names from left to right are Layela, Ajia and Dalila. Dalila hasn't been introduced yet, but she is the shaman in the group. I modeled her after the Himba women in the Kunene region. I still don't understand what hairstyle symbolizes marriage, but Dalila's status is single.

The key to my art is to expand my world view of Black culture. The comic helps out because I have to find unique and interesting cultures to bring forward instead of following back on the "African" tiger/lion cloth. What I have now is limited, but I have ideas to add traditional Caribbean spirits and other tribal outfits when this first arch is done.
