Description
Birthday painting for my mum, today's her birthday!She likes Chinese Ink-Styled landscapes so I decided to paint a mountain-scape! This was a big challenge, the file size killed my computer D: Anywho, I persevered and managed to finish it
I had to sacrifice sleep-time to do this in order for it to not interfere with my study time

Dang; You literally painted every rock face! I admire the effort.
Although to save time...I suggest you paint one of those rock scapes;
Take a lasso tool, copy and paste that rock scape, then paint over that pasted rock scape!
Then do it again and again for every rock you're gonna want to add in.

Haha! I think I did do that a few times, not really sure tbh. It was quite some time ago since I made this! I really should do more studies and such, my work's form is always off! :L

It's just not nice for you to have used it as a base before asking me. :C Please don't do this again, none of my work is free to use unless I give the permission, I would have been willing to let you use it if you had asked me earlier.

It's not being rude, it's an offense of someone else's property. You have taken my work to edit/draw over, regardless of how inspired you were or whatever else reason you have, it is never right to steal another person's artwork.
I will, however, forgive you because this seems like a genuine misunderstanding.
I hope that you will understand that taking other people's artwork is wrong and differentiate it from "inspiration".

Hey there! I read that agreement and decided to go research a bit! This is not true! Read the 5th section of the agreement, it says:
"5. Limitation Of Rights The rights and licenses granted to deviantART under sections 3 and 4 of this Agreement require deviantART to obtain Artist consent before deviantART makes any commercial agreement with anyone else to separately buy, license, re-sell or re-publish or commercially use any Artist Materials not in association with deviantART but as an individual work of art or as a group of works from a single Artist in isolation from any other works.”
Basically DA is saying that it can use your work only if they have asked you for consent and consent has been given. There was a tumblr post on it too: djwaglmuffin.tumblr.com/post/8…
DA has always been a site where the artist's artwork can be freely shown in public without distributing it and violating artist's rights, it's been like that for a long time and I think it has the best reputation for this and as such, their agreements wouldn't want to jeopardise their humongous user base. Don't spread false information! It causes a lot of panic! Though I'd say the agreements should be edited with the 5th part shifted to be the first and vice-versa, no one really reads the rest of the stuff after the first few sections

Great detailing there with the brush strokes adding depth and definition to the landscape. Good fade effects too to generate the illusion of high altitudes.
