Description
No matter how many people crowd around, I'm still alone.I know I know, I wish I hadn't cut my butt and feet out of the picture. The camera was placed to high when this was taken. I tried reshooting it a few times. But it was taken in the moment. After working on getting a better shot for quite some time, I realized that I wasn't crying anymore and I didn't feel like starting up again. So this was the best shot that came out.

This is breathtaking in its self. I myself take my own pictures but not yet can get to full body shots. The whole desolation of this picture just blows my mind, you are a excellent and becoming photographer. and i love your pretty face.

i think the fact that you're not in the center...outside of the bounds helps strengthen the sense of solitude - you're so alone, you're not even all the way in the picture.

The dark edge really conveys a sense of individuality and isolation.

this is an awesome shot. i love the softness, the color saturation (or lack thereof), the pose....all great. the only thing i'm not too sure about is the composition....not sure if i like it completely centered, but then again, it helps emote the feeling of being lonely....so i guess it works.
anyways....great shot.

great pose, yea if only you could have gotten the rest of you boot it would have gave the eye something to follow up even though it sorta does now

Yeah I know that feeling.
You canknow alot of people, but your not close to them.
As others go about there lives, you get left behind or not included.
sometimes you can bear it, but other time it's the worst state of mind to be in. You feel as if a part of you is not alive.
Like a part of your soul is not there.

Such a true sentiment, and it really shows in this piece. The way you're curled up and crying, it really conveys the loneliness and sadness very very well. And actually, the fact that you're positioned lower in the image isn't a bad thing, because it gives me the feeling that you're small and lonely compared to the large blackness. I think you should keep the empty space above your head, because then it looks like I'm looking down at you, but too ignorant to look all the way down. You know?
I can sort of see the semi-bright spot around you, but I really didn't notice it until *montyoum pointed it out. It really isn't that noticeable (atleast not on this screen anyway).

Love soft quality about this shot. Great atmosphere. I probably wouldn't have had the subject smack in the middle but a bit more to the side, leaving some negative space. But still, I find this really beautiful.

I realize that at the time you weren't doing it for the effect...but this is a very unsual and effect pose. Foreground is perfectly focused...so much so that I can see markings on the eyeelets of your boots and the detail of your fingernails on your little finger of your left hand. The blurred motion in your image does suggest (after reading your comments) that you are perhaps indeed wiping away a tear. The lighting is perfect for what your title suggests. The soft directional lighting on your beautiful skin contrasts with the pitch black background evoking a feeling of being truly alone. Had this been a happier moment one could imagine this image as being provocative. (In the soft lighting you can make out a hint of the soft texture of your hair and the black strap off the left shoulder...again...against flawless skin...) As it is however, you have managed to capture your own vulnerability even while in the midst of feeling truly alone. That says a lot for your talent but i am afraid it does not remove the emptiness. This is a beautiful yet poignant image of you. I am only sorry that I have to compliment you under such circumstances

Since you can't recapture the moment you may want to try cropping out some of that empty space above the head... Just a thought.

wow. this is amazing.
its stunning how you manage to convey such heavy emotion through your photos. This one is great and really feels like loneliness, and despair that comes from it. The blackness surrouding you feels like there is a massive world, yet in such a world you are still alone. which I find gives it an even more sad feeling. The pose your in really shows the despair and fear of being alone, trying to shut out the giant void, and protecting yourself from the nothingness.
Tones and lighting are great. I love the contrast of the boots the the light soft tones of your skin.
