(And yes, that song is not on Beatin' The Odds, but it's appropriate for Spike, and one of my favorites.)

Now that's an epic battle scene, and I like how Spike's spines are higher than ever and he's looking a bit more mean. Twilight herself looks intense too as she flies into the face and will no doubt take out those doomed doggies. It's already one heck of an exciting battle!

Both Spike and Tsparx have this look of fierce determination just slightly undermined by uncertainty in their eyes. It's almost tragic, even spiting the fact that they're winners through and through.

And then Spike wakes UP from this dream, covered in embarrassing drool-marks and morning scales/hair. The end. :3

Well, it's not a literal dream, more of the dreams like... "I dream to be an astronaut" or "I want to be the President" kind of thing. It's about the frustrations you feel when you know you have these dreams that you'll never achieve.

The font is a classic, called Windsor (specifically, the bold version). It's been used in a lot of things - not just Molly Hatchet album covers and homages thereof. Woody Allen used it extensively as the title font for his films. Several television shows used variations of Windsor for their logotype as well.
It's been suitably altered to mimic the Molly Hatchet style. The entire banner was drawn in Illustrator.

I'm also fairly confident that either it or a relative version was used for the Gen1 My Little Pony logotype - except not as smallcaps, but regular case.
