unseen gargoyle character, still a part of the big illustration thing going on here.
primarily looks like a white stork with chimeric elements. because she primarily looks like a stork, she adopts the name Virai- or Iriy, after the realm where birds go to heaven in Slavic mythology, which sorta fits. it is quite common in European folklore to consider storks as delivering babies too.
it is also funny though, white storks have a notorious mindset of eliminating their competition by doing literally the opposite to their own babies. since this is technically anthro though and not a feral bird that needs to comply with real biology™ and real facts™, i don't think she'll take it nicely of doing that and neither do most gargoyles, especially when... well, if you look at canon gargoyles from the show, their fertility rates are very low, like just not enough to replace their numbers.
i kind of imagine a similar problem here with my headcanon, but it is not set just yet. i don't like the interpretation of just having 3 eggs in their lifetime, but i don't want them spiralling out of nowhere and want to at least make them more viable in sustaining a stable population, especially when i plan to keep them around for the story potentially. that's for the future (spoiler) draconians to handle it with- which they have a tendency of not being able to control their offspring.
