Description
Update (6/4/2024): Corrected the title to Fossil Force. For some weird reason, I originally went with the title "Fossil Fighters" and did not realise it until it is too late.

Not Chimeric Chronicles-related because my woefully tired brain yesterday wanted to finally read a quick book and had too many ideas on the block. Yes, it is time I do fanart that no-one understands or has heard because I do it for the cool kids and not for the uncool kids (sorry WoF/MLP fans lol). Like Mosley , Against the Storm or No Man's Sky (outside of its disaster launch that everyone knows in 2016)
But I think this should suffice enough. Like the sea turtle dilemma, I struggle to think how clothes could wrap around a body with a hard shell, but there's also a bit of a workaround, in that "armadillos" (or in this case, Glyptodon) being alien and it is set in a "cyberpunk science fiction" world, I could just excuse their shells being optional or removable, though I still think it is otherwise naturally evolved. I don't want to explain it too hard anyway, as this is not a part of Chimeric Chronicles but I guess I think too hard with everything I come across.
I'm not a huge fan of overdesigned outfits and fashion, which science fiction does lean a lot (and fantasy in other ways). It gets comical with MCU stuff, but I will not discuss that here. I just find them a bit hard to draw complex outfits in a way that satisfies me. Which is also why draconian outfits are plain and/or functional, htough not necessarily homogeneous- draconians are still a diverse race with a diverse set of cultures. So instead, I wanted to keep clothing designs like many others, simple enough and not overtly complex and cliched.
The original book source from my first read indicates that most of the characters that speak are humanoid by the way they use hands. So all the dinosaurs and mammals there are anthro and I therefore interpret characters as that. The dinosaurs there seem to also be quite more than just greys and earthy colours of Chimeric Chronicles; but I guess it could also fit in a cyberpunk setting where neons and LEDs seem to dominate the whole setting (imo I'm more of a solarpunk fan with cybernetics in it, since that seemed to be the direction of our future right now), but I guess if I want to eventually draw the actual dinosaur characters, that I try to stay close to they were in the description.
Only it seems that some of the birds (terror birds and dodos) and Paraceratherium appear to be just generic monsters equipped with weapons in their backs. Alternatively, I could still be reading it wrong but this is what I personally interpreted.

The character is based on some basic descriptions of the said character from Fossil Force: The Cryloth Invasion by Paul Poe. I'm not sponsored by the author, I'm giving a link to it to make sure I'm not making up things.
To summarise the plot and setting, four young sapient dinosaurs and their planet are invaded by alien mammalian invaders with unknown intentions. The whole thing as I said before, is set in a sci-fi cyberpunk universe, so these two races mentioned are aliens and not technically "anthro" in a sense of literal anthropomorphic animals. The whole thing does remind me of the visual novel game Dynopunk if it was invaded by mammals for some reason. How coincidental that I somehow now know there are two books about dinosaurs in a similar setting lol.
Might eventually get around to do more personal covers of characters, but I don't think I'll do it because I do have a bad symptom of art addiction and work behind me and with specific work like... one assessment, becoming a big obstacle for my procrastinating brain, so I don't know. I recently developed this addiction through the holiday and it is hard to stop it currently. While most have an art block, I just never seem to run out of ideas... and that is interfering with what I'm doing right now and I'm just panicking at the moment at why I'm doing this when I should be working on one assignment. You can see why I seem to have a compelling compulsion to draw more anthro dragons by the sheer amount of character ideas and designs that I post here.
Also because I think someone, like the author, would see this and might cause a bit of ruffle especially when I'm busy. So I'm sort of hesitating to do anything about that. But who knows, if I find time or my brain distracts itself again, I will try to do the rest of the cast.
