Finished this along with Lady Gaga. It is a screencap from Transformers 2 Revenge of the Fallen. Pretty emotional sad climax of the movie where Sam "dies" (Oh I hope I didn't spoil anything...)But I am happy with the outcome C:
.5 Mechanical Pencil on A4 size cover paper (Letter size paper. Finally figured out the namings of the paper sizes)
Edit: Scanned with my parents' professional work scanner : D Much better quality.

Ok, I look at this and I first think that its just a screenshot from the second Transformers movie that you had put in black and white but then when I really got a look at it, I couldn't believe that it was actually a drawing.

How do you plot out your portraits? Do you eye them from the original image onto the paper for their proportions?

I have to give you props for this, I cant shade on paper except cross hatching (still my favorite way of shading)
But this is pretty accurate, Did you draw the whole thing, just curious, because alot of times for shading practice they trace it then shade it.

Well, I shade with cross hatching too. But afterwards, I blend the pencil so it is smooth and continue shading.
And I am trying to draw it as accurate as possible. I never trace.

Nah, the only thing that would be worth critique is something original. You can't really critique technique and style since everyone has a different way of drawing.
