When I saw this! I had already imagined - if Gumball (instead of that dork Zach) hang/pick up like this on Penny without being shy..because look at those hands '' How Penny is holding them or How hold that leg between lockers'' She looks like she's ready, like awaiting for Gumballs upcoming actions.
the conversation would all go like:
Gumball: Hey Penny, what are you plan's for today?
Penny: Wow Gumball you have so suddenly dragged me into an angle between lockers.
Gumball: Wanna go out for a movie?
Penny: Sure, I guess *blushes*
Gumball: Kiss me, Penny!
Penny: *Blushes and giggles* alright,bad boy <3

You got to love that scene that even though Dream-Penny loves him; the real Penny we all know only has eyes for Gumball not Zach.
Note Zach's cool and confident demeanor; which is a dark comparison to Gumball shy and a bit dorky mannerisms.
It can also be seen that Zach isn't smiling, starring at Dream-Penny with a cold expression; which indicates that he doesn't care for Penny like Gumball does. He just see's her as object just another girl he can pick up; boy am I thankful that Zach didn't win.
Otherwise a very good and enjoyable episode!
