It's amazing work. Sadly there is a lack of Age of Fire fan art.

Thank you!
And aye, I hear that's the case from the commissioner. He specifically wanted to commission me to fill in that gap of missing fanart of the series hahah

My gosh it's awesome!! You made a truly wonderful job and this commissioner also deserve some credit for the input! x3
Guess he/she told you also the backstory about this second art too, right?
The second book is one of the most interesting, Wistala is probably the most emphatetic dragon of the series toward "hominids" into the whole series, plus toward the ending books I ever got the feeling she was the one (even compared to her brothers) keeping the most long-standing strategic and moral views on what's need to be done and what's worth fight for, individually she's my favourite of the three.

Oo I'm glad to hear you like it, and that I did a good job on your fave dragon =v=
And aye, I did get some backstory from the commissioner, so I know a little bit of each of the dragons I've been commissioned .o. Sadly I'm not too big of a reader, so I've never heard of these books before recently, so I wouldn't know much either ahaha.
But yeah, that could explain why the commissioner wanted to empathize how Wistala is talking and enjoying herself in the company of this older man.

It's a pity the story would be hardly made in other formats (movie, tv etc.) because it is so far (among the ones i read) the most pure dragon-only point-of-view story. While there are bunch of elemens of "classic" high-fantasy style (including factions, wars, etc.) for once dragons play the key and protagonist part. Still without dropping some classic draconic feature, don't know if your friend told you but for example dragons sometimes feed upon humans out of necessity (hunger during a chase or a battle/fight), and this create a quite big emotional clash for the reader that still is lured to accept it from a draconic point-of-view.
He talked with you over other possible commissions? The third siblings (RuGaard or "the Copper") is interesting but possibly also slightly more difficult to draw because he has lots of scar/maimed parts xD

Aye, the commissioner is in love with the series, and was planning on commissioning me similar pics of all the dragons if all goes well .o.
Tho I feel I need a small break from drawing them rn as backgrounds are really not my forté hahah, but I'll be sure to get back to them once I've had my break =v= Dragons are always fun to draw, I haven't drawn them in so long, so this was a refreshing gust of wind to me in terms of drawing c:

Hot damn, that's pretty freaking gorgeous for someone who's "taking small steps at getting better"! (Actually it is that just in general, too)

OMG I’ve read these books! I just didn’t recognize the title! One of the main characters is a gray scaleless dragon right?!

Yup, you're right! I only recently got to know about the series through being commissioned that same gray scaleless dragon lol
