Description Panda Teapot I made for 3rd year metals at Oregon College of Art and Craft. The teapot is made of copper that was silver plated and had an added patina for the black. It also has resin ears and a white resin gap between the teapot body and the handle as a heat sink.

We start out with a flat sheet of metal and learn to hammer and raise the metal into a vessel form. We start out with sketches and sometimes 3D models (like in my case I had to sculpt a panda out of clay) to use as reference. We then spend an entire semester forming these pieces with a hammer and stake.

Why thank you, I appreciate your kind words. Of all the schools I have been to this has been the most intense. It was totally epic for 3rd year. But, that year was just ridiculous...and the school is pretty crazy in general(in a good way I think).

Amazing work! So the tea comes out of the bamboo the panda is holding?
