PerytonOrigin: Roman
The Peryton is a hybrid between a deer and a bird breed of some kind. They are said to have the shadow of a man, until they have killed a man and have gained the ability to cast their own shadow. This task is generally made easier since they have impenetrable skin. They are thought to be original inhabitants of Atlantis that were transformed into these creatures when Atlantis was destroyed. They are said to have instigated the fall of Rome.
