So apparently whenever I see a dripping horizontal streak of yellow paint I automatically think of Sherlock now. What?

I made myself look at this a bit longer and I liked it more and more. A lot of the paint drips off in the same angle, I like the scratch marks, and I keep wondering about that one white line...Looking at this I realize it was probably harder to make than it seems. How large is the piece?

I agree with you. When I saw it at first I thought "THIS is a DD?" I like the cityscape interpretation, though, it makes me look at it in a different way. Maybe not DD worthy (IMHO) but it's more than the splots of paint I initially saw.

I am sorry. But... I do not see what's the remarkable in this picture of a painting. I have seen much better quality photos in the Keinziel gallery that deserve a DD much more than this...
(hey... this is just my own point of view, ok?)

I agree, it's still interesting, but not the most interesting or intriguing one in the gallery.

i can't understand the profundity of this piece of art, can someone explain me?
π: 0 β©: 2
Hello-Pillow In reply to facuzon [2012-03-09 15:19:14 +0000 UTC]
Look all the negative coments in this pic. The reaction of the people when they see a pic simply as this one presented in the DD (or a museum) is one of the things that makes this pic so "artistic".
If you want to know about the meaning of works like this you should search for abstract expresionism, the works of Rothko looks a little like this pic.
Sorry for my english.

that is the fun of art
you're fucked until you get it
and just use your imagenation and if somebody else tells you what they see it won't be fun anymore

you are right, i'ts in free interpretation of everyone but the most important concept is the one you create.
