OKAY. SO, THIS WAS SOMETHING NEW.This was a commission done for , who wanted three sexy adventurers petrified by Medusa's gaze, surprised/struck with fear when they see her and becoming stone in the process.
I decided to give them all a battle-ish pose.. you have a Mage ready to cast magic, a Warrior ready to charge forward, and an Archer going to fire her bow. I personally am very pleased with how this turned out(a little iffy on some parts, but hey).
Anywho, yeah. It was both easy AND semi-frustrating.. but seeing as I had free reign over the character design and pose/positions..I can't complain with how this resulted. I may continue to tweak it here and there. Yeah.

I'm embarrassed that it has taken me this long to even respond to this -- I got a little busy, and although I faved it, I never told you how awesome it turned out!
I am really happy with how you took the idea and ran with it... I love your choice of character archetypes, and the equipment, costuming and armor you came up with for them! The texture on the stone they've been turned into is subtle enough that it doesn't overshadow the line work you did; I also like the light colored cracks you used... it really helps to justify the looks on their faces!
I also like the background isn't overstated: it's not too busy, and it doesn't draw your eye away from the central figures on the piece, but it is still "there" and is undeniably a mood-setter in the picture... great job!
