Great use of sparkly bits ^^
I think the image is a bit 'too' bright like you said, though it has a great capture-for-the-moment feeling.
I also think the idea for the dandylions was a smart move.
The eyes I would of thought, would of been locked if it were a love scene but no problem in this case as they meld into the emotion.
Shading and 3d shaping stands out enough so the characters hit their fullness especially on the one on the right.
Both caharter's features are also properly porportioned and sized.
Everything about this image would be totalled up in one word as 'cute / or quaint'.
I for one have no ill suggestions with this image.
I don't want to be picky, but I get a little confused weather the guy on the left is doing a crab-stand. Or should there be a rock for him to be sitting on. Again no actual problem though I think his stance should be revised if im right.
I give a 4.5 out 5!!
