thank you. Well actually I saw something similar in 3D, in real life. It was a bronse gate in Prague. Do you know the "gate of hell" from the sculpturist Rodin?

could u explain the idea behind it...it seems very interesting

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KeizerClimax In reply to muireuqA [2010-07-16 10:16:52 +0000 UTC]

The idea was to make a painting with a repetitive element. Based on this, the idea of repeating frames was created. In order to keep the focus on the repetitive character inside the painting and on the way of painting rather than on the content/story of the painting, I decided to keep the figures semi-abstact.
Of course the viewer can create his own story behind this image...

I was just playing around with an idea of a repetitive element. And this is what came out of it. Perhaps I'll make another one, a bit more dteailed and on a larger format.

Ow yes, the sun is shining brightly in Belgium. We have the best weather so far this year; temperature rises up to 30-35°C ....woooooeeeehaaaa
I'm inventing a massive ice-cube-machine to avoid a melt down of my brain....
I hope the nice weather will last a couple of weeks longer

Hazelbean In reply to KeizerClimax [2010-06-30 10:52:29 +0000 UTC]

30 degrees? Wow, the most we got was 31 and I didn't even get to enjoy it because I spent the day in a theater ¬_¬

Haha I already have an ice machine which I think I might have to marry.
I love it that much in this weather

and enjoy it then hopefully we'll get it for the whole summer
(with a few thunderstorms in the middle, it wouldn't be summer without them )

I have to adjust my latest claim...we've reached 35°C today....I find myself in a semi-liquid state today...It is almost unbearable. Hope a nice classic thunderstorm will hit us soon! I want to take an outdoors-shower with warm droplets of rain....
How is England doing?

Damn thats hot! Here our high so far is 32 i think so not quite that bad,
I'm still slowley melting though
We had a little bit of rain the other day but that only made it a teensy bit cooler and not for long ¬_¬
Still, I'll try to enjoy it while it's here

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KeizerClimax In reply to Hazelbean [2010-07-06 10:38:44 +0000 UTC]

Well 32°C is hot for England, isn't it? I went to the region of Newcastle a couple of times in the past....but never hot shiny weather though....
Off course I'm going to enjoy it . Nothing pleases me more than eternal sunshine on my head
Moreover, my holidays arecoming closer, so I'm getting quite excited !
Any travel plans yourself?

Hazelbean In reply to KeizerClimax [2010-07-11 14:23:48 +0000 UTC]

It's very hot for England and this heet isn't going away!
I have a theater class at the weekend and in dance I was literally melting.
I sweated so much the underside oh my hair was like I'd been in a shower! (gross right? sorry about that but I had to vent to someone and it fits with the topic )

It is nice though, when you can relax and wear lighter clothes than leggings

2 weeks until the summer holidays I am SO very exited! I have a couple of parties and then I'm going to norflok, heartlypool and then ending up in the lakedistrict. Countryside, beaches then mountins - its got everything
How about you?

KeizerClimax In reply to Hazelbean [2010-07-15 15:32:09 +0000 UTC]

Tomorrow is my final working day :b00gie:
My summer holidays will last for 4 weeks! 1st week I'm staying at home, then next 2 weeks I go to Portugal with the tent, somewhere in a very quiet area near the Spanish border in a natural parc, and then the 4th week at home again...I'm looking so desperately forward to my trip to Portugal. I've never been there before...and I love camping in abandoned areas...My trip too will be a combo of nature, relaxing, mountains, water, culture...

In the meanwhile, the weather has been cooled down a bit. We've had some serious summer storms already...Last week I went to a festival and I got gallons of rain over my head...I decided to stay calm, go to my car and, since everybody ran away for the rain and I remained alone in the neighbourhood of my car, I decided to undress myself, get rid of my wet clothes, get the hell into my car and go home. Despite the fact I checked thouroughly that surely nobody was observing me getting undressed in the middle of the street, some sneaky camera guys succeeded to tape me...and broadcasted me on local television!!!! Oh my...I always get into such situations....why me?

Hope to hear about your whereabouts
I'll update you from time to time

Hazelbean In reply to KeizerClimax [2010-07-15 20:53:56 +0000 UTC]

Woo for you! I still have one more week but then I get more hliday than you Ahh, I'm so jelouse of your holiday though. I LOVE camoing but my parents won't take me (my Dad's not keen and my Mum has a bad back) and I've heard too maney horror stories of teens camping on their own. I love it because I love all things old fasioned (mainly medievil period) and camping is so much closer to nature, I can forget about the modern world Portugal sounds great too, the furthest I've beein is the north of France

The weather's cooled down here too. No proper summer storms bith it's rained quit a bit and is v. windey. I'm enjoying it though, a break in the weather everynow again keeps thing more exiting. And rain smells best in summer for some reason...

Oh gosh, that must have been so embarrising! But thats media for you Maybe it was because you where alone that you where easier to spot... anyway, have a hug

Not much's happened to me recently. I survived work experience which was very boring but sort of fun in the end. Then i managed to get a cold and have spent most of this week in bed.

Gosh, i wrote loads, hope you dont mind

Hello there . Back in town
I got back from Portugal. I had a marvellous trip: shiny weather (temperature never droppped below 35°C), friendly people, nice vilages, delicious food & wine, interesting culture,...strange animals ....tarantulas, scorpions & snakes...Brrrrrrrr!!!!!
The camp site is owned by a British fellow who decided to move away from England 2 years ago and to start this very cosy & cheap camp site. I spent already quite some time on camp sites during my holidays but this one hits my top 3 !
Well, if you do love camping, you will get plenty of opportunities to do so when you are travelling without your parents . I prefer camping above any other formula of travelling.
Well, my trip to the south had a drawback too: they broke into the car while stopping in Spain for the night. A very expensive camera was stolen . The broken window is repaired without paying a penny, but the insurance doesn't cover the contents of the car...

I got back and left the sun in Portugal. Typical Belgium summer these days: cloudy, rainy, shiny, cloudy, windy, rainy, shiny,....
I'm back to work again, after 4 weeks of holiday. Back in the damn routine...The worst thing about going to a daily job is that it controls not only the time you spend at work but it controls every hour of the day: it determines when to get up, when you arrive at home, when you can have your free time, when you have to eat, to relax, to sleep,....very dreadful thought, isn't it?
I hope one day I can quit and start something on my own...

Tell me about your recent whereabouts . I'm quite curuious who things are going...And don't you worry about writing elongated messages; I love to read it! Besides, I wrote quite a lot too this time

Take care

Hazelbean In reply to KeizerClimax [2010-09-06 19:00:17 +0000 UTC]

Wow, sounds like a nice place. Maybe I should go there someting ( if I ever get the money)
Ok, read your next sentance and decided maybe not. Spiders scare the bajeebas outta me :S
That's true, maybe on a gap year. I also want to do a coast to coast walk sometime soon, I'll get to camp lots then
Oh no, that really sucks, did you loose all youre pictures too? have a hug
Hah, I know the feeling. Well maybe not quite so well, I onlu go to school, but I still know it a little, I just started back too, I have all this inspiration and enthusiasm but no time to do anything
What would you start though? Maybe you could have an art shop and sell your pictures (and probably others too to get enough stock)

Right now I am into writing which is good because we are doing creative writing coursework in English although it does kinda use all your energy so when you get to your own stuff there's nothing left to use Other than that not much other than already drowning under homework.
I've written loads already so I'll tell youi about my holiday in a journal if you want to read it. It save's me telling everyone the same thing again and again (I'm lazey XD)

Hope everythings going well

KeizerClimax In reply to Hazelbean [2010-09-29 10:40:15 +0000 UTC]

Hello there
I finally got to your message . Since I returned from holiday, I hardly found the time to reply...
I give you an update on my recent whereabouts....
The camera got stolen, but there is already a new one (and a better one too ).
My car got broken, but I already got another one (and a better one too ).
There was a massive chemical explosion in the factory I work for. A lot of material damage but, luckily, no injuries. I thought I had seen quite some explosions already...but this one....mega-destructive!
I moved away from Doel (the village I live(d) in and which is under serious threat for the expansion of the harbor nearby....Capitalism prevails...). I moved to my girlfriend's place. A major step for me! An unavoidable step since the village will be demolished in the near future, a logical step since another winter was no option because the state of the house has worsened since my neighbours moved away last year, a practical step since I'm not gonna loose any time anymore with travelling between 2 places....but emotionally a very painful step since I really loved to live there....If you ever have the time and if you want to, you should google it 'Doel Belgium'. There is a lot of commotion around it...
Art school has started again recently and I'm quite occupied/busy with painting these days...which makes me very happy ...

The last couple of months, an unpredictable wave of bad luck came over me. I got really drowned into it...Such a cluster of bad luck happens to me every 5 years or so...
Strange enough, as all these events look like bad luck at the very moment they occur, they initiate some strange, undetectable mechanism which result in a better situation on long term ...I have no more profound explanation for it; it is just an observation I made through my lifetime...If I look back now, I should be happy the camera got stolen and my car got broken

How are things going in England?
Take care, my friend and I hope to hear from you again

Sorry once more for my late reply

J.

Heya,
Dw, I am probably the worst person for replying
to messages,I'm just too lazey.
haha nice, that's a pretty big silver lining
... and you've seen explosions already?
What are you making? Sounds like a fun/scary job.
Aww, that sucks! I mean, it sounds like a good thing
but it must be so hard to leave somewhere you love!
I've lived in the same house all my life so I can't
really empathise, but I can give you a hug
Well you can't be lucky forever... it is odd though how
when one thing goes wrong everything seems to, maybe
it's just your mindset?
You know, most people call it fate...

It's rainy and misty and I am so very exited for christmas.
Which is really bad because there's halloween and two
birthdays (including mine) before then. Well, thechnically
there's three but one's mid December so I'm allowed to
feel christmassy at the same time.
Do you still like Christmas? So maney adults I know don't.
I can't imagin not even being a teeny bit exited by it,
above everything else it provides more photo oppertunities.
I had to drop some subjects because of CFS (did I
tell you about it? It basically makes you exhausted)
and althrough I'm a little annoyed it does feel good
to be able to say that I never have to do maths again

Other than that there is not much to tell, although
I've finally managed to start getting my holiday
photo's up, I'll apologise in advance for crowding
your messages

Hope you're bad luck starts to fade soon
