Description My tribe used to bury people in large rock formations, which was done by many other Coast Salish tribes in the Pacific Northwest Coast. This photo was taken at Sooke BC, Canada. Most of these graves on the Southren tip of Vancouver Island have been destroyed to make room for Condos and other urban development.

Beautiful image...but that's terrible about their destruction. The destruction of nature is bad enough...but to destroy burial sites is even worse.
