I'm guessing the reflection of the sun was intentional? but I think it does take the attention off the girl, despite the diagonal shapes framing her. However, it also adds to the "pensiveness" of the picture, and that's positive theme wise. Color wise it's all good and complimentary and befitting to the girl's pose and stern expression. Also, I think it would work just as well as a portrait, cropped at the aluminum of the door frame, if you think about the whole piece then as forms and shapes.

This shot is stunning so it's hard to criticize. If it's a sliding glass door I think it would look better if it was open more and she didn't look stuck in the doorway. I think it would give her a more natural pose too. But, if the door was opened further, it would mess up the 2/3 rule and lose the effect of the reflected horizon. Maybe she should have been outside of the door and it's closed.

Great choice of model, great choice also to shoot her with a stern look - her eyes are gorgeous. The proportions are okay, the way the part to her right (from our view) appears upsets the tranquility of the shot. If you cut that part to the white wood or even the metal frame it would do a lot for the picture. IMHO

not sure if it was part of what you were going for, but the Window could have been cleaned a little for the shoot, unless is was off the cuff, although I will say the lighting works well but the angle may have needed to be adjusted a bit. The sun in the reflection take away more of the attention from the rest of the shot. That's about all I got... again, not sure what you were going for in this shot so I may be off base a bit.
