What brand and shade did you use? I tried Manic Panic's cotton candy, to no avail... And what bleach, if I may ask?

its REALLLYYYYY hard to get! I tried again recently and couldnt get it >< You need to have like WHITE hair...and hope for a good batch of MP cotton candy for it!

yep! Well, I did it myself. Professionals aren't licensed to use ManicPanic in their shops. So you can't get results like the from an actual salon.
BUT! I've been dyeing my hair red/pink/whatever for four years now! This picture was from when I was 16 or 17...
I'm also on the ManicPanic website as a dyehard >v<;;

yes. if your hair is dark you may have problems.
if it is DYED dark, not as much of a problem (unless you dye ALL of your hair every time that dye, not just your roots.)
You can get ManicPanic in australia. This colour is cotton candy pink (although I think that they changed their formula bc it doesnt come out so light anymore! :C )
anyways, tips...procedure
this is really lengthy, so brace yourself!! >_<;;;
first of all you have to bleach your hair very light. It can be yellow for the darker colours (blue, red, dark pink, purple)
but for this light of a pink it has to be WHITE!
Dont bleach twice in one day. If its not light enough the first time, put a LOT of mayo/eggs/both on your hair and leave it for like 20 mins. rinse it out with beer or ...something.
Then you can try to bleach it again the next day.
when its light enough to take, put on the manicpanic. comb it thru to get the frothy stuff out. then use a blow dryer for about 1-3 minutes, a bit longer if you hair is long. cover it and let it marinate like meat. manicpanic is like hippy beezwax, hahah! it doesnt hurt your hair at all. and it makes bleached hair nice and silky again.
after 2-5 hours,(or more) rinse it out. you can use shampoo. some people say to do the final rinse w vinegar but i never do. it stiinnkkks. (it helps the dye stay longer)
FINALLY
after your hair is dyed, avoid using heat. dont use a blowdryer for a long period of time, or use it on a cool setting. try to keep away from the straightener. it will not only damage your hair, but fade the colour as well.
Another thing is to avoid hot showers. Furthermore, dont use much shampoo when you use it. Conditioner is fine!
The last thing is that you may need to touch up your hair with the dye every other week or so. And you will have to bleach your new roots about every month and a half, bc the new growth wont take the dye.
I said its a good amount of upkeep... and as you can see, I wasn't lying!! >_<

when i said rinse w beer, i meant wash your hair like normal, then pour some beer over it. it makes it sturdy, and nice n shiny!!

I love this picture.
The pink is not too strong and the light amplifies its soft tone. Your eyes work well and have a gleam (wrong spelling) of hope in your eyes that seems rare in these days. All in all a truely lovely picture that shows a genuine lovely spirit. Well done Budda (:l)
