Description
I was somehow spiritless these days... end-of-the-year-syndrome??"Burn me! Princess! Burn me!!!"
Just realize haven't draw her for a while~ So a quick sketch before go to bed. (not very quick actually... it cost me some time to figure our how to make it looks more "inky" in Paint Tool Sai)
*words on top right: "阿祖拉" is "Azula" writting in Chinese .

I love this picture but does you know why only Azula can bend blue fire? Not even the Avatar in the Avatar State can do this.

I never really respected Azula as a character when I watched the show. She was just purely bad, corrupted beyond anything I could comprehend. Then, when I was browsing some tunes, I stumbled across this video. [link]
I had never seen Azula in this light before. And now I have a new love and sympathy for her. I realize I'd judged her too harshly, and that her ways were not entirely her own fault. She was born from a dark father, her mother never spent enough time with her, her own brother and friends turned against her.... She lost everything. Now that I can see it, I truly admire her character.

I didn't like Azula on the first place, but the more I watch the show the more I was attracted by her character development. such a perfect but tragic girl. It's a big pleasure to read her character then put it into piece of art

Fantastic work! I think the sketchy style fits really well here, it adds to the dynamics of this work! And the title reminds me so much of Jim Moriarty saying to Sherlock Holmes 'I'll burn you-I'll burn your heart.'

This is what I always imagine of Azula (if) after she redeemed herself. She becomes a content person who has achieved self-confidence and emotional stability with a meaningful and purposeful life.
She has her signature blue flame not because Azula became the cold-hearted and empathy-lacking princess like we used to know again, but because she has found solace in her heart and mind.

My desires for her as well. She finds her niche and she is happy and content. And I hope she progresses in her bending. Remember the dragons had all sorts of colors.

Azula is such an amazing character. You know I hope they have a flash back in the next season of Korra, showing Azula doing something other than being "in chains" (not sure if she'd be in an asylum or imprisoned =o)
