As with my David Tennant picture... The network went down at work yesterday... No email, phone, or interwebs... My job REQUIRES network access...Soooo I drew with me mouse until they sent us home...

I love how you draw. I just wish I could do it.
Did you ever take classes, or anything, for shading? To me, the shading seems to be making the picture more so than the line art could. If just anyone had coloured it, it wouldn't have looked half as good.
I often wonder how you do it..and I'm always stumped so I just give up.

I actually have a classic arts degree. I emphasized in drawing... LOTS of drawing stupid still life crap... apples, cans, chairs, toys... we even went out to the airport once to draw planes... Oi... I think that's where the shading comes from. I've never been all that keen on classic cartoon shading. BUT I LOVE drawing cartoons... so I try to marry the styles as best I can.
That being said... I recommend drawing still life until you understand light vs shadow. Start in b&w... Just draw what you see!

Thanks for the advice. You're so good, though, I don't think I'd ever reach that stage. It only makes me that much more determined, though.
