hmmm. never really thought about it like that. was thinking that 'discharge' meant pus, or yellow-matter custard (dripping from a dead dog's eye).
you see, we were doing a studio project and we were thinking up a title for it late at night. we were toying with the concept of spilling over, overflowing, etc. jokingly/desperately-for-a-title, i suggested 'discharge' and it was shot down because i was told it sounded "like bile". 'discharge' became stigmatized to me as inappropriate in any context i try to put it in, so now i'm just trying to stick the word somewhere.
