Phew, this one just kind of ran away with me >.>
I read Castaneda's "Journey to Ixtlan" not too long ago, and I think it may have subconsciously influenced me while developing Ruzan's character
Though not heartless, Ruzan's mother had a very pragmatic view of her daughter's condition. She spent most of her puphood preparing her to one day sell her life as dearly as possible, and to die a warrior's death. So living in Heyl is just a little bit strange for her
