So, my Evil Tuesdays are now featuring Akuma-tized citizens from Miraculous Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir, ordered more to match my Month's theme than the order of the episodes.
This week's akuma is Jackady/Simon says, an akumatized version of Simon/Jacques Grimault, a hypnotist.
An akuma not caused by Chloe! YAY! It was unfair that they didn't have a backup for someone who refused to accept the challenge - especially considering how Nino won so easily. They really should've been pre-screening people to see if they wanted to be on the show in the first place. Maybe not the best written episode in that aspect, but I liked the Ladrian moments.

This was the episode that got me into the Gabriel theory

well that and because Hawk moth completely vanished after Gabriel was kidnapped

I mean, one could argue that Hawk Moth disappearing when Gabriel was kidnapped was intended to throw suspicion off the "real" hawk moth- in the red herring theory. And back when Simon Says aired, we didn't know that the Akumas would still have their powers if Hawk Moth detransformed. Plus I'd seen some artists overlap pictures of Hawk Moth and Gabriel and their jawlines weren't the same- which shouldn't be possible, as the Miraculous transformation only changes hair and clothing.
All of which is why I believed he wasn't Gabriel Agreste for so long. But clearly, I was overthinking it.

it could be the mask i mean he has a full face mask instead of just a eye mask that's why it looks longer and trust me i understand about overthinking things

I may be misremembering, but I could've sworn there's been other episodes where he hasn't said some form of "Curse you gadget!" at the end of the episode. Just gives me an excuse to rewatch season 1 sometime.

also again he had more off screen time then usual when Gabriel was around
