Description Spitfire (MLP: Friendship is Magic) is dressed up like Akainu (One Piece)
Sunset Shimmer (MLP: Friendship is Magic) is dressed up like Sabo (One Piece)

Got a random idea to draw Spitfire as Akainu (likely during the Wonderbolts Academy episode) & wanted to include more fire ponies in costumes related to the Heat-type Devil Fruit Users.
Came out pretty well I think.

Maybe I should do a color pic of Pinkie in the Perona costume last October.   Eh, maybe later.

(Are you sick of Sunset Shimmer yet? Just one more pic of her left!)

I too think these came out nicely,  but in spite of the fiery theme, the mix of Spitfire and Akainu and Sunset Shimmer and Sabo does not do much for me personally.

However, the idea of Pinkie "Perona" Pie spreading positivity is very amusing to me. Especially in the way you presented it on your comic sheet.

Now that you are asking, I am becoming very aware of how much I actually like Sunset Shimmer. We have only seen her in the 2 Equestria Girls movies, where she went from being a fortunate and promising student of Celestia. She proceeded to disregard her mentor's teachings and wishes, selfishly sought power, acquired it, got schooled for it, learned her lesson and made a 180 and became very repentant, got offered the friendship of Twilight Sparkle and her five friends' Equestria Girls counterparts, which became pretty much the most precious thing she now has, leaving her in very thankful and blessed state that is somewhat similar to that of Twilight Sparkle's when she first wielded the Elements of Harmony together with her then newfound friends. A state that due to the lack of canonical Sunset Shimmer content is both very character defining for her and nice, as well as having lasted for more than half a year now, and thusly really solidifying this impression - in my mind. at least...

In addition, she is unique in the sense that she was a bad girl character with a bad girl style, who then got reformed, turning her into a truly good girl, while still keeping the bad girl style. A development and mix that I really like and which is also something I do not really recall having seen anywhere else before. At the very least not to the same extent.

Long story short?
Nope, I am not tired of Sunset Shimmer.
Still looking forward to the final one.

(I am however quite tired in general and I will probably hit the hay soon. Sorry if this was weird...)

Glad to hear you aren't sick of Sunset yet!
Yeah, personality-wise neither fire pony fits the character. I was thinking of having Sunset be Ace and Twilight as Sabo (since Twilight burst into fire that one time) but Ace's outfit is really just shorts, boots and a hat, not too interesting to draw.

Pinkie's pink hair reminded me of Perona's at one point so had to put her in that outfit. But Pinkie Pie would definitely summon positive ghosts, thus the comic idea was born.

Sunset really got fleshed out in the comics and the second movie, and her design is really cute! The AT/MLP pic was my first attempt at drawing her, and she's sure interesting to draw. I'm curious to see how 'real world Twilight' effects their friendship dynamics in the 3rd movie.

Nothing weird that I noticed. Hope you're having a good rest!
