A'ight, so, I've left "Undertale was a good game" territory and it has become a major obsession. My sketchbook is full of Undertale. My mind is full of Undertale. Megalovania is on constant loop; the dog song plays incessantly in my brain as I try to sleep. Send help.
Also I. LOVE. SANS.
I'm really glad I played Undertale when I did. I don't think I would have appreciated the messages, especially those related to mercy, if I had played when it first came out. So I'm a few years late, but I suppose everything worked out in the end, eh?

No it didn't work out ok. Undertale is a dangerous obsession. For me, it is 3rd year running and not slowing down - and there is barely any new material!!! I mean, the Smash thing didn't help, nor the appearance of deltarune... but still, seeing as you (just like most people) seems to love the skelly boy, we'll have to wait for a while for a proper update. In the mean time, long live the fanartists (you included!)!!!

Haha, yeah, it's become a major obsession for me too. It's out of control. Then just when I calm down and go into remission, something happens and Undertale flares back up. Not that I'm complaining.Β
I ignored the fandom altogether until I was done with it and spoilers were no longer a problem. Then I just researched everything I could. I watched videos of the genocide run, cuz there's no way I could hurt Papyrus. Fandoms can really ruin things(especially popular things).

Omg literally same. My entire existence is focused on this darn game these days - I can't do my readings for class (which are in French) without becoming heavily distracted every time the word "sans" appears, and every lecture is spent doodling in my notebook and very much NOT paying attention RIP. Goodbye education, you were sacrificed in the name of sad skeletons and monsters.
Genocide is a major no-no. I can't take away their perfect, happy ending. I would be very sad ;-;

Haha, it's hard to focus. My notebooks are filled with so much undertale stuff. So many skeletons. If I want to look somewhat normal in public I'll draw Frisk or Chara. Then I don't have to explain the cartoon skeletons.Β
Who needs education anyway? When you could just get lost in the underground and endlessly call Papyrus(totally my hobby).Β

I recommend that, eventually. It can be tough to watch, but I personally find it worth it to understand all the lore.Β

You and me both. I played Undertale july of last year, and I got addicted about the game. I am glad too for playing it after the hype. It's a.game full of possibilities, there's no right way of playing it. Each expirience is unic. Enjoy the game the most of you can.

I feel bad every time I want to play again, even though I can't get myself to do anything other than a pacifist run.... tearing away that happy ending every time sure rips at my heart a little bit!

Yeah, me too. Just did pacifist run so far. The first one I did, I saved in a separated folder, so I never would take away their happy ending. XD I need help.
Even when I play fan games, I aways do the pacifist run. Underfell is very satisfing to do it, cause usually it's the most dificult run to play. XD

Oh man saving in a separate folder is NEXT LEVEL smart. Perhaps this is the secret to me being an evil person heheheheheheheheee.
I really want to get around to playing Underfell, it seems like the most interesting AU I've come across (that and Dusttale, but Sans is absolutely kicking my butt ughhh)

Yeah, I have a childish sentimentality about Undertale. I even thought about doing genocide and neutral runs, but I just can't do it!!! Hehe.
Think about the separate folders like timelines that you never going to erase and they will be happy forever.
I played Dusttale as well, but Sans is giving me a really mad time, that's cause I'm doing the "pacifist" run on this game.
Oh, Underfell don't have a complete fan game yet. Most of them are abbandoned, sadly. But there's a really good one, that have a great gameplay and the team is really excited about finishing it. If you're interest, here's the link for download.

It's really chalenging, but not impossible. The pacifist run here is way harder than genocide or neutral, and you don't have to play other runs to get that. I was like:
"Man... why playing genocide to have a bad time, if I can be pacifist on THIS SHIT!!! If I'm getting mt ass kicked right now in the fuckin ruins' puzzles, imagine when I fight the bosses??? Imagine Sans on this shit!!!"

Hey!! I wanted to let you know that I finally got around to playing that Underfell game you recommended. It was absolutely brutal but super good!! The graphics were incredible!
While I died far too many times (LooxΒ d e s t r o y e dΒ me for some reason, and I kept hitting spikes before I could save LOL!) it was a very fun time and I can't wait for it to update! Thanks for the great tip!

Hi!!! I'm so glad you remembered me and had fun with the game!!! Yeah, that spike maze with loox in the end, right? Yeah, I had my ass kicked there too XD. I was like "Why facing Sans in a genicide run??? I'm having a bad time in Underfell in the RUINS".
I'm anxious for the next update too. They said the next update will be Toriel's house. I'm curious to see how they Toriel will be like. In most of Underfell comics and Fangames, Toriel is still good, let's see theiers.

Yeah I'm super hyped!!!! Hopefully it'll be awesome, I've seen a few renditions of Toriel but it's always different to try and translate into game-mode. I'm sure it'll be great though, if that demo was any evidence!

For what they showed so far, different of UT Toriel, who has a humble house, and old books, this UF Toriel has aΒ Luxurious mansion, and will be some puzzles there to solve. Let's see what they're planning on.

I don't know... I only see the updates in the Game Jolt. I looked for something saying about some another social media, but I didn't find it. The last update was 2 months ago, a little recent for Game Jolt's padrons. There's already a lot of pictures of Toriel's house there.
But meanwhile, if you want another fun game that is really awesome, I'll recomend you Undertale Yellow. A really good and well done fangame, and the programers and creators are very determined to make something awesome. They are fixing bugs before releasing the second part, so maybe it will release it soon.
Undertale Yellow is a non-canon (that's why is considered an AU) where you play the Yellow Souls's journey, the soul of Justice. They made a really new run, with new characters and an unique story. Some of Undertale characters are there, like Toriel, but only feel of them are present. The random monsters also are original. Theier last update was 14 days ago, and they are already working at the third part. This is big stuff.

But actually, it's great that you played it after the hype has died down. A big problem I was seeing when it was really popular was people basically spoiling how to playing, saying "You HAVE to play it and you CAN'T kill anyone!" No, let a person play it how they want to play it.
