Description
A massive oil spill in the San Francisco bay in 2008 created a post-apocalyptic scene. The sludge could be seen on rocks along the shoreline leading down towards the Ferrry Building, looking down from Howard Street along the Embarcadero. A Chinese cargo ship struck the Bay Bridge, rupturing the oil tank and spreading oil over a 30 mile long area of the bay.
