Description ~Royally Lost~

Poor Nylyn has no sense of direction. She has just realized this is the same place she just passed by an hour ago - for the 3rd time... T__T

Background:
=============
Nylyn Verkiten is the overprotected daughter of an Elven general. Against her will, she was pushed into the Royal Guard as a cadet. Nylyn only wanted to be a normal elven girl and get a boyfriend, but the guys are too afraid of her dad to get even close to her.

Author note:
=============
This is a NEW stylized body type I've put together today. Quite exaggerated proportions, like the wide hips, slender waist, powerful thighs, and generous cleavage. No super long legs this time (for a change).

Figure is A4. Hope you like it and thanks for coming by!

This happened to me while looking at this pic; www.comedity.com/index.php?str…

So here we go....

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

"Because of their substantial lifespans, elven communities tend to be very tightly knit. People, no matter the species, can't spend all that time in close proximity to hundreds or thousands of others without either breaking up or finding ways to cope with each other. This has lead to a unique social structure that is simultaneously simple and complex, beyond most other races' abilities to understand without a substantial period of immersion. In some ways this is a good thing; elves are rightly renowned for their knowledge, balance, skill, and generosity. However, there is also a dark side to this facet of their personalities. Just as their good qualities frequently achieve a level of power other races achieve only rarely, elves can be insular, obsessive, deceptive, and cruel to an equally high level. When dealing with an elf who is not a close friend, it is always wise to maintain a certain, subtle level of distrust; even if they do not intend to do so, an elf is capable of saying and doing things to other races that range from insulting to deadly. To a lesser extent, elves inflict these woes upon their own kind as well. Nowhere is this more evident than in the elvish military..."

Interesting Places and Irritating People, by Nilon Shagar

Because of their strong leanings towards tradition and history, elven families have a tendency to cross-generation specialize; the children will usually follow a profession that is the same as, or at least strongly related to the profession of their parents. A tanner's son might learn to be a cobbler or a tailor, a tavern keeper's daughter would lean towards the art of the horse breeder or the carpenter, and a blacksmith's child could be guided towards the work of the armorer or soldier. Exceptions to this rule are rare, and though they are usually allowed by the families in question, there is always a certain amount of confusion even if parent and child part on the best of terms. Of course, few families part on the best of terms.

Nylyn Verkiten is a classic example of what happens in a less-than-accommodating family. The only child of General Hatan Verkiten and Colonel Aleri Verkiten (a combat healer), Nylyn was something of a disappointment to her father and, to a lesser extent, her mother. Both Hatan and Aleri were veterans of The Rotting War, a nine-year conflict in which The Red Circle, a cabal of Orc and Human necromancers attempted to seize the Shrine of Tomorrow as a component of a ritual that would have turned the Maltern Expanse into an undead infested wasteland, ruled over by the new-made liches of the cabal. In addition to dozens of minor skirmishes with other races, both Hatan and Aleri were in adamant support of elvish military power, though Hatan was more active than Aleri. Thus, it was a great surprise to both of them when Nylyn made it clear that she had no interest in joining the military.

What was already a thorny topic was made much worse by the fact that there was nothing obviously "wrong" with Nylyn; she was quite athletic, reasonably intelligent, more charismatic and beautiful than most, and possessed of a mischevious streak that created effective, out-of-the-box solutions as often as it created trouble. There was no indication of a flaw that would have seriously hindered Nylyn's career, much less one that would have prevented her from joining the military in the first place. The end result was that Nylyn refused to join the military, and could not provide a reason that would satisfy her parents. She merely wanted to live a simple life as a tavern keeper, marry a good man, bear children, and live in peace.

Although it was invisible to everyone within and closely related to the Verkiten family, this conjunction of factors could have resulted in a very successful career as a spy; it is entirely possible that Nylyn could have joined the military, gone through basic training, joined the Intelligence Division, and efficiently served elvish interests while living the life she wanted. However, Hatan Verkiten had deliberately created a very "high" profile for himself as a means of navigating through the oft-labyrinthine depths of elvish politics; combined with the usual "front-line soldier" disdain for covert operations, any chance Nylyn had of joining the Intelligence Division was effectively cut off at the knees before it could come to light.

There were many heated arguments, some of which nearly came to blows, but Nylyn was not willing to completely alienate her father, and ended up joining the military once she came of age. Despite some initial setbacks in the form of rivalries with other noble-born elves, she graduated basic training with honors, and demonstrated an aptitude for both sword and spell which marked her as a possible candidate for special training as a Weave Knight, a highly respected subset of the Elvish Military which was composed of front-line soldiers who used weapons and magic with equal ease. After some back-room dealing to which Nylyn was oblivious, she was nominated as a candidate for the entry trials, which she duly passed. Training as a Weave Knight was much more difficult, and Nylyn came close to failure several times; however, she pulled through and graduated in the 82% percentile, which automatically qualified her to enter the last stage of her training in the Royal Cadets.

Nylyn has effectively completed her training, and is currently working through the Trial of Solitude, the last hurdle to clear before becoming an official, ranked Weave Knight and Royal Sword. The Trial of Solitude is simple, but brutal; using nothing save their own weapon, skills, one Royal Cadet suit of clothing, and whatever they can beg or borrow (steal is unspoken, but allowed if taken from non-elves), each cadet must go out into the world and accomplish some feat of strength and/or cunning that proves their worth as a soldier, then bring proof of the deed back to their superiors. There is a time limit of 10 years attached to this trial (an eyeblink in the lifespan of an elf).

Currently, Nylyn is stuck in the Shard Mountains. She was hired by a human town to hunt down and destroy a group of bandits that have a base somewhere in the mountains. These bandits are reported to be composed of a mixture of goblins, a few stone trolls, and at least one barghest. She had some initial success and slew several raiding parties, including a pair of trolls, but the bandits have apparently stopped all raids and withdrawn to their base, forcing Nylyn to enter the range in order to find them. Will she manage to destroy the bandits and earn her place as a Royal Weave Knight?

Thank you

On a different note, I like her body for the most part, but her waist is perilously close to disturbingly thin.Β  It doesn't quite cross the line, but the curve linking her torso to her hips and butt is too sharp; I think it would look better with a more gradual curve that starts higher up on the torso.

That's just my opinion overall-it's still an excellent piece.

I know what you mean. I have experimented with smaller but wider hips in this character. By squashing the hip, the legs look a bit longer, but it has side effects like you've mentioned. ^^
