hehe, something like 3,900 faces may look like a lot, but in reality it's very low and not even enough to create the just the head of the other models I use in my pics. ^_^

Thanks! Many Japanese modelers ommit toes when making lowpoly models. Looks like that's common practice. ^^

I see 9 MQO models there, but none is a witch. There is fish, cat, fly, princess, etc. Maybe you have a different version? ^^

So have you tried modeling anything in MQO so far?

I'd like to hear about Hexagon and what's good about it. I have already tried so many different 3D modeling programs, I've got a bit tired. I've stayed with 3DSMAX this far, but I am always open to alternatives that ease the creation of symmetric models such as characters and clothes. ^^

Well, what about Blender 3D? It's the most popular and well supported 3D modeling program out there, where even an entire 3D movie is being produced using it as of this writing. I mean, nothing can be cheaper than... free? Look here --> [link] for more details.

I personally think Maya can be overwhelmingly complicated, and that's one reason I prefer 3DSMAX over it. Maya has the steepest learning curve and it took me ages to learn it. To me 3DSMAX is more visual, intuitive, and straight forward - but not as powerful as Maya. Maya's UV tools are way better than 3DSMAX, which looks messy and cumbersome in that area. In the end it's a give and take. ^^
