Where do people keep getting Beast's real name to be Adam?

In the CD-ROM tie-in game, his name is confirmed to be Adam.

Not to be picky, but it doesn't seem very french.

Well, I didn't name him. Disney did. And Belle doesn't seem French either (Italian, more like), but that's just me.

This is so cool!! I actually think that Belle and Adam would have named her Rose, but Adaline works just as well.
I read your conversation below, and I know how you feel!! My mom keeps telling me that not only should I not be writing fiction, but any writing should be done as a hobby because it will never make me any money. J.K. Rowling did it, I don't see why I couldn't!
Also, a friend of mine found this challenge of 100 themes. It's for a group, but we've taken it and have been doing things our way . . . so to speak. ;D I've changed the list based on what works for my deadlines (I'm doing it every week . . . well, I'm supposed to be doing it every week, I'm real late on this one, and the categories aren't loading!!! GRR!). Anyway, you can do what you want with it ([link] ), all I ask is that you have loads of fun!!

Thanks! I like the name Adaline Rose better anyway.
Funny story: I thought Harry Potter sounded dumb (there was a book reading going on at the bookstore and this girl was dressed in Harry Potter's outfit on the cover of the U.S. edition of the book and all these kids were cheering and ecstatic and I, ever the non-hipster, refused to take part in this social ruckus. Big vocab for an eight year old. Anyway, my mom made me sit down with those stupid kids that I didn't know nor want to socialize with and we had to pick a card from the cauldron. I got 'He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named' which I thought was the stupidest name ever and wanted, at least, an actual character's name, so I tried to pick another, but the girl-Harry said "No, one only." and I ripped up the paper and shoved it in my pocket and stood up and said, "This is stupid." and walked to the car and waited for my mom and brother. When they came out, my mom gave me a bag and I opened it, always excited for a new book...but not the one I received. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. I glared at her and she said, "I didn't get a receipt and we don't have money to waste on things like this, so you better read it." I did and fell in love).
My mother doesn't approve of my fanfiction. She says I am detailed enough to come up with my own characters. I could do it, but it's more about the fandom I'm writing. She'd kill me if she knew I wrote slash/yaoi. Despite this, and the fact that my mom sees anything BESIDES self-help books, memoirs and how-to books the only books WORTH reading, I love that she brought on my Harry Potter hysteria. It came back to bite her. I own tons of action figures, games, towels, costumes, stuffed animals, Legos, books, movies, etc. Serves her right for buying me the book that started it all.
Great. Now I'm fan-girling. I'll shut up now!
One last note: I hope your mother comes to accept you the way you are and realize that literacy, in whatever form, shouldn't be banned or frowned upon. Seriously, if none of my kids like reading, I will adopt a reader. Preferably a gay child, as well, because I'm accepting and have so many gay friends, they'll have advice-overload. And a kick-butt vocabulary, too!
And now I'm more excited about my possible-future-adopted-gay-child-that-loves-to-read more than I am for my own biological children. o.O Maybe my own biological child will be gay AND a reader!
Okay, really shutting up now.

aw, you're welcome.
I can see why they wouldn't accept it- some people don't even spend that much time on them. But there are some really cool doll maker submissions. Like I spent forever on Melody from my Disney Daughters because I was putting all the drag and drop pink bows on her dress.

Of course it is! Being a writer myself, writing the rough draft of a novel takes at the very least a month of intense writing (as in NaNoWriMo, National Novel Writing Month) And that's just the rough draft, which usually isn't even all that good. Someone could make a really good photomanip in the same amount of time and not need the other 3 months for editing and re-editing.

My mom can keep her eyes open, but she's, well...she only likes self-help books. Unless it's how to improve yourself, your life, or your outlook on life, or dieting or other crap like that, she doesn't see the point in reading it. Which makes it very hard for me to understand her because I've read tons of books that have improved my life and outlook on life in a subtle way, but my life was changed nonetheless.
I use to LOVE writing plays for my cousins and I to put on. I'd even write songs, too, but I never intentionally made it a musical. That is a huge feat to take on!
My brother says, "You're the only one I know who takes 'the pen is mightier than the sword' seriously." and when I asked him, "How so?" he replied, "Because if you don't write them to death, then you stab them with your pen to death." and I laughed and said, "True, but unlike the sword, the pen has the power to revive." Then he mentioned something about my pen not being a wand, which led me on a Harry Potter rant, so the rest is hazy.
National Novel Writing Month still sounds too intense for me. I'd mentally abuse myself if I didn't win. I'd have to think I'm a profound writer just to enter, and to be honest, I'm no where near ready for that kind of writing or commitment. I don't take criticism well.
Not writing would be VERY bad for my mental, physical and psychological health. For the sake of those within a 1000 lightyears to me, I better be able to write, if not...let's hope we never find out.

oh, come on, it'll be fun. If you make the 50,000 word goal, you get five free copies of your book from create space. It's bound and looks just like a real book and is awesome. You go slightly insane, but it's so rewarding to actually finish something. And even if you don't make 50,000 words, you've still got x words written that you didn't have at the beginning of the month. NaNo's just one of those things that you have to jump in and do. The point is to sit down and tell yourself to WRITE.
